Basic elements

The ECU makes use of microprocessors linked to a memory (EPROM or CHIP) in which are recorded the numeric values of the advance points and the injections times which are basilar.

Some sensory intercept the engine's operation and ist characteristics permanently.

Under form of electric signs they transmit the assembled information to the ECU or to a micro-calculator which difines the exact fuel's quantity needed to the good functioning of the engine and fixes exactly the precise moment and the opening duration of every electromagnetic injection (one for cylinder or the whole of cylinders).

The advance point in ignition is the second basic function of the direction's system, since it causes precisely and at the right time the total fuel's combustion after a meticulous mixing of air and fuel.
